THE Staking
Featuring the first ever stake-to-power system
What is stake-to-power?
We were never fans of the traditional staking methods that farm another token (or even their own native tokens) which only dilutes the value of those tokens.
To match the uniqueness of our category as a wordcoin, we have established our ONE OF A KIND staking option. These unique tokenomics will set us apart from every other project as we unveil never before seen stake-to-power system.
This is why we have pioneered the first ever stake-to-power system, where instead of earning APY or another coin you are earning voting power within our DAO. This ensures that the loudest and most impactful voices in the DAO are those that are loyal to THE Protocol. We have also capped the maximum amount someone can vote with if they are unstaked and given benefits to those that stake with the different NFTs.
At the end of the day, with our DAO and staking live, the person that would benefit from it the most would be Vitalik as we have it coded in a way that nobody can ever have more voting power than him but we've also ensured that he can't have a ridiculous amount of voting power that he alone outnumbers everyone.
It is important to also add that we do not believe in holding tokens hostage and because of that there will be no lockup period but any time tokens are removed from the staking there is a formula that kicks in that reduces the accumulated weighted amount.
Stake-to-Power summarized:
Within the DAO you will be able to stake your tokens and accumulate governing power the longer you stake your tokens. This essentially means that someone with 500,000 $THE can have a stronger voting weight than someone with 5,000,000 $THE based on the duration they stake the tokens for.
The benefits of the staking system are further exemplified when paired with one of our DAO NFTs. You can get more in-depth about the staking numbers by checking out The Formulas or read more about our limited THE DAO NFTs to read more about them.
